In-Touch Program
The first objective of Edina’s Vision 20/20 is to maintain strong
residential neighborhoods. One of the strategies to meet that goal is to
improve communication with the community’s many neighborhoods. The In-Touch program is one way the City is working to improve communication
with its residents and neighborhoods.
The In-Touch
program relies on volunteer Block Captains to hand down information to
people in their neighborhoods. The City will regularly send Block
Captains e-mail and other correspondence and will ask those people to
communicate the information with their neighbors. Workshops and training
sessions for Block Captains might also be held periodically.
Volunteer Block Captains are responsible for creating their own
distribution lists or other means for handing down the information.
Their neighbors will count on them for timely dissemination. Interested
