Laura Frykman

“I’ve been studying and creating art for 20 years, including coursework at Minneapolis College of Art Design, University of Minnesota, the Minnesota River School of Fine Art, and masters’ work in spirituality and art. Besides creating pastel landscapes, I work in oils, 3D collage, murals and abstraction.

I’m currently seeking ways to deepen the content of my work, molding personal imagery with an expressive style, along with an eye for line and realistic detail. I believe that good art is no less than a slice of life given focused, honest thought and visually shared. An artist’s passion will find a style of its own in response to learning opportunities; we just have to keep our egos out of our own way!”

Laura teaches beginning to advanced oil painting and chalk pastels at Edina Art Center.
